Planning your wedding should be a fun, exciting and one-of-a-kind experience for you and your partner and this is exactly what you’re in for when embarking on your wedding cake journey with Flour + Blush.
So how do we get started?
The earlier the better…
…is my advice for checking availability. Wedding dates (particularly those peak season weekends) can book up quickly, and up to two years in advance, so even if you’re not 100% on what you want yet, it’s worthwhile getting your date secured. You can send an initial wedding enquiry via the online form to check availability and ask any first questions you need to. If you’d like to gauge an idea on prices, please answer all the questions in the form as best you can, as this information will help me to give you a rough quote. You can also access my latest wedding brochure here.
You can secure your wedding date with a £100 save the date fee and signing of my Terms and Conditions before deciding any of the details. Once this is done, you can relax a bit - and get ready for the yummy bit…
The best part of wedding planning…
…in my humble opinion, anyway! Time to taste some cakes and get down to designing. Once your date is secured, you’ll be entitled to a complementary taster box of six delicious flavours, chosen by you from my most popular! You’ll also be invited for a design consultation, either in person or virtually, where we will get to know each other, I’ll learn all about your wedding plans and we will work together to design the perfect wedding cake, personal to you.
Taster boxes usually run once a month from October until April - another good reason to get your wedding date booked early! If you do want to try before you buy, you are welcome to purchase a taster box for £30 plus postage.
Time to get real…
…or almost! Following your design consultation, I will develop a super special digital sketch of your wedding cake to help you envision the real thing, along with a full price and all the little bits of nitty gritty info you need.
If there are changes you want to make at this stage, no problem at all! I will alter and tweak as much as we need to, to ensure you and your partner are both thrilled with every aspect of the design.
I can hear the bells…
and it is almost the big day! Once we’ve confirmed all the design and flavour details of your cake, you can leave the rest up to me - I’ll liaise with your florist, stylist, venue (and anyone else relevant!) to ensure a seamless set up on delivery.
I’ll pop you over an email around two months before your wedding to confirm all the details, send your final invoice and check if you need any further information or support from me! Other than this, all you really need to do now is relax, get giddy and look forward to seeing all the elements you’ve been dreaming about come together for your wedding day.
